I spent much of my working life in sales, marketing, and web development. In recent years I noticed a key change in one area that my clients were facing - their growing concerns and actual experiences of being 'hacked'.Looking at the problem I saw how cyber-criminals were succeeding in the face of the greatest technological blocks that the likes of McAfee, Symantec and Norton et al. could throw at them.Clearly my client’s cyber security needs were not being met with the basic 'firewall and anti-virus’ provisions, so I decided to take action, and if possible, find a solution.I discovered that what it came down to (unfortunately) was the daily working practices of most end-users in those companies. That was everyone - front-line admin staff up, and MD's down.One thing all my conversations with SME owners, directors, management, and other decision makers taught me was that Cyber Security is a tough subject to deal with - one they are happy to avoid - sometimes until it is too late.I found that employers and employees alike assumed that people would intuitively know the basic protocols of workplace IT, so there was little to teach or aspire to, nothing much beyond setting simple passwords.In hindsight we couldn't have been more wrong. It's not that anyone was at fault. Collectively people didn't realise the true nature of the problem that was building. You see, as a species, we were facing major technological change in the workplace, and the 'best-practices' culture hadn't caught up.Moving back to today, and guess what... it still hasn't. In fact, the situation is far worse. Now there are greater numbers of organisations unprepared and vulnerable.To counter this disheartening situation, our team has a series of carefully developed, interactive programmes, online and hard at work!It means that everybody in business can, at last, easily and affordably, take action. The modules we have produced teach in a way that puts everything 'cyber-security wise' into perspective. They make the subjects simple, easy to understand, engaging and totally non-technical (That's where the fog descends for most people).
