Over a 10 year period, as investor, director, and executive committee member, Mr. Rabines helped develop Atomera (ATOM) through its initial public offering in 2016.

Macgregor was leading financial technology provider of software and services for global financial market participants. Macgregor was acquired in 2006 by ITG (www.itg.com). Prior to the acquisition, Macgregor successfully obtained over $40M in debt and equity funding from institutional sources (www.ccvlp.com, www.baincapital.com, www.audaxgroup.com). At Macgregor, Mr. Rabines co-lead the firm through various growth stages, until sale to a public company in an all-cash transaction. During his 15 year tenure at Macgregor, he served in various senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. As CTO, Mr. Rabines was responsible for Macgregor product strategy and development operations where he led a staff of over 100 engineers, analysts and subject matter experts.Mr. Rabines 15 years developing a wide array of asset management applications including backtesting, performance attribution, data warehousing, client reporting, portfolio modeling and trading.

BBN developed the ARPANET, the forerunner of today’s Internet. At BBN Mr. Rabines worked in their Internet Gateway group on security and load management optimizations, and on large scale networked simulation systems technologies (SIMNET). He also held technical staff positions at the Motorola Portable Communication Products Division and the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science.
