Orange and Crane Innovations Inc is where I further hone my android skills, creating apps from the ground up. I also have written a white label app: single code base but is deployed as three (3) different apps for different clients.Here, I also learned and implemented clean architecture. I initially used MVP. But I later on moved to MVI (Model-View-Intent) using Mosby and RxJava,2.Backend team also decided to move from RESTful services to GraphQL so I also have the priviledge to learn it.

At Blumoon Techonologies, I finally had a chance to work on mobile devices, not just tablets. I was able to create two apps from the ground up that interacts with a webserver written initally from Java+Redis. I also did some backend module for the PayBux app. PayBux is a platform that gives rebates based on purchases. It has a module for managing users, selling products, process and monitor wallets and transactions, rewards system and user hierarchy. Responsibilities include the following:Develop the android client where users can register, login, buy products, review personal transactions, add peers to your network and send/receive virtual currency called BUX.Develop RESTful services for product selling.Develop RESTful services for sending/receiving virtual money.BlumR is a social networking platform. It has modules for users, messaging, audio and video calling. Main responsibility is the development of Android client with the following features:Registration via Facebook, Google+ or Twitter and profile updates.Send/Receive friend request and listing of contacts.Send/Receive of chat messages, audio/video calls.Show and engage (like, comment) on news feeds.

This is where I started my journey on android development. I was initially hired to work on apps targerting tablets. Current version of android around this time is Honeycomb and Gingerbread.Document WalletA tablet android app that downloads (manual and auto) pdf files from the server. The app can also serve as a PDF viewer for downloaded files. It uses SOAP API to communicate with the server and displays on the screen all the available PDF files that the user can view. It can also be configured to wake up at a certain time to pull PDF files via SOAP and automatically download.SilicaA tablet android app for monitoring stocks/funds. It uses SOAP API to communicate with the server and displays on the screen.

A rather short work here, assigned to their project that is using JBPM and JBoss Seam with JSF.Day to day tasks mostly are bugfixes, new feature requests and change feature requests. But the highlight of my tenure here, is the Triple DES + MAC. So, I was given a task to encrypt a given string via Triple DES + MAC. It was 2011 and yet so little resources on how to do it. But I finally found a single post about it in a forum with instructions, which I followed, and it worked! Best feeling ever! Haha!

I started out as C programmer and developed two (2) apps which has voice calls using Dialogic cards (proprietary hardware installed in the PCI of server motherboard). I also started learning server management and Red Hat Linux and BaSH scripting because I'm the solo developer for the project.After a year, transitioned to full stack development and started my journey on Java, JSP, HTML, JavaScript and MySQL. I also continued my journey with server management Apache server, Tomcat servlet engine, MySQL DB server and again Red Hat Linux. Over the years I improved my skills and learned EJB 3.0, JPA persistence, STRUTS, Tiles, JSTL, and Spring.Most of my projects here are from ground up so we always have the freedom to choose what libraries and technologies to use.
