Manildra is a growing Australian agribusiness with 1,200 employees globally and I am fortunate to be part of the Executive Team that helps steer the business through changing times to maximise operational efficiencies, identify new market opportunities and grow business segments both locally and overseas. Manildra’s own brands include the just-launched Auzure canola oil, MSM Milling, The Healthy Baker, Sunshine Sugar, Manildra Stockfeed, Argyle Prestige and E10 ethanol.I lead Manildra’s Southern Operations including several storage, blending, processing and handling facilities, and the Industrial Division Sales group which seeks strategic partnering across Australia, Africa and New Zealand to find better ways to help our customers achieve their business outcomes. As Southern Division Manager, my role is best described as a General Manager encompassing all commercial and P&L responsibility, operational management of multiple facilities, Quality Assurance, Finance, Engineering, and OHS. In addition I provide leadership and a full HR service to a team of around 65 employees including performance management, KPI development and EBA/Union negotiations.During my tenure with Manildra, I have led a number of change management programs including site closures and integrations, resulting in site and workforce optimisations. These programs have contributed towards the recent rapid growth of Manildra, and this notion of change and growth has been part of my work experience to date within other sectors - namely paper, packaging, mining and building materials.
