Nearfield Instruments develops metrology equipment that helps enhance process control in the semiconductor industry. At Nearfield, I work in the R&D department on new control strategies to increase the performance of their Quadra machines.

Dutch United Instruments (DUI) develops instruments for form metrology of optical components. At DUI I was working on an improved control algorithm to increase the performance of the so called probe and in turn increase the quality of the measurements.

AeroDelft is a student team where I was leading the engineering departments of project Phoenix FS. The aim of the project is to convert a standard Sling 4 into an aircraft that flies on liquid hydrogen. By doing this we want to prove flying on liquid hydrogen is possible and promote emission-free aviation.

As part of my minor program, me and two fellow students did a six-month internship at SEP-SL. SEP-SL is a social enterprise that aims to decrease the youth unemployment in Sierra Leone. For SEP-SL’s new location we were tasked to choose and implement a new water supply system. Through crowdfunding we raised the necessary funds. Thereafter we travelled to Sierra Leone and installed the pump. Due to the great success of the first pump, the demand for the system increased. Ultimately, together with our local colleagues in Sierra Leone, we built and installed three pumps in various villages.
