Rolfe is currently a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Denver, in DU's University College. In that capacity, he teaches graduate-level courses in several programs, including Nonprofit Leadership, Communication Management, Environmental Policy and Management, and Information Technology (IT). In addition, he is the assistant director of the IT program. Previously, for more than 20 years, Rolfe was a consultant with nonprofits and social enterprises (of all sectors) helping them launch new products and services, enter new markets, develop effective marketing strategies and improve ongoing business operations. In that role, he prepared feasibility, marketing and business plans, venture audits, and implementation strategies, and presented workshops and webinars on these and other topics. Clients included Greyston Foundation, Volunteers of America, Public Media Company, Denver Children's Museum, Wisconsin Public Radio, Minnesota Public Radio, and Naropa University. Larson is the author of Venture Forth! a guide to business planning for enterprising nonprofits and mission-focused companies. Venture Forth was endorsed by the late Paul Newman of Newman's Own. Larson has an MBA from Yale University's School of Management, with a concentration in marketing and finance. His bachelor's degree is from Swarthmore College.Most importantly, Rolfe wishes to express his intense gratitude to all the people who work so hard to make this a better world. Their invaluable efforts to support and advocate for those experiencing life challenges including homelessness, mental health issues, discrimination, and poverty, inspires him to no end. He's had the privilege of working with a few of those people, and for that he is forever grateful. They have taught him that while we don't know all the answers, we have to carry out our best efforts, keep learning and do our best to make the world a better place for everyone, for today and for the future.
