ManagerSiemens Oy/Ag Sep 1980 - Aug 1990In 1980 I started at Siemens in direct sales with the task to sell Siemens dedicated telephone switches to corporate customers in Helsinki, Finland. In 1982 I had the mission to build up a dealer network for smaller telephone switches in Finland which was carried out with great success. Later on I had also the privilege to be responsible for the project sales of the Swiss Siemens Albis dedicated switches for banking and dealing in Finland and had renowned banks as my customer. In 1985-86 I worked for two years at Siemens AG in Munich in international sales for telecommunications and IT. During this time I also participated in the internal international Siemens training program for executives.After my return from Germany I was appointed Head of Sales in Finland for Siemens Data, Tandberg Data and Siemens telecommunication peripherals. I headed both a Direct Sales Team and a Indirect Sales Team.This included developing regional sales channels, multi channel strategies & business plans, budgeting and forecasting as well a cultivating dealers and distributors relationships. -
