I was leading the R&D organization at Omada. Growing the team from seven people in Copenhagen, to a 60-person multi-discipline engineering function with teams in three European locations. As my area grew, I evolved the internal processes, leadership- and team structure. My responsibility covered all aspects of planning, delivery, release and support of new versions of Omada’s Identity Management product, resulting in 50+ feature releases, as well as numerous maintenance releases of older versions.The product evolved from a traditional on-premise solution rated as niche player in the Gartner MQ for the domain, to a cloud solution with continuous delivery rated as a market leader in the latest Gartner MQ. This evolution of the product also included several technological, architectural, and UI/UX leaps forward, to ensure that the product could stay competitive in the market, while still retaining its key strengths and bring along the existing customer base.Apart from the daily operations and deliveries in my engineering organization, I were part of special projects such as strategic sales cases, obtaining (and keeping) ISO:27001 and SOC2 Type 2 certifications, company-wide programs/events and working with external analysts to position the product as a leader within its domain.

I lead Rehfeld’s dedicated development department, responsible for driving the maturity of the company’s product development efforts within the Business Intelligence space. Creation of product development plans, solution strategy and product positioning, but also daily leadership of the department and sales activities. I was responsible for the company’s technical quality work, which included development of technical standards, definition of development platforms and sparring about solution architecture, design, and development processes. I was also participating in creation of partnerships with other software companies. In addition to my main responsibilities, I was acting as manager for a delivery team of 10 consultants, developers and project managers from May 2011.

I started as software development engineer and was quickly promoted to program manager lead, and got the responsibility for a team of developers and testers. I later got the responsibility for the program management discipline in the group. This included the management of the other program managers, and I also had the overall functional responsibility for the product: Dynamics Mobile. My primary role was daily management of a team who covered all server functionality (including integration functionality inside Dynamics AX and NAV) and it was my core task to translate market requirements to actual features in the product. The Dynamics Mobile group was, shortly before I joined, started as an incubation team and I was part of growing the group to around 25 employees and launch the initial 1.0 version of the product, as well as three subsequent releases.

Worked on several Dynamics AX projects, including projects in pharmaceutical industry under FDA regulations. I also worked on development of training material for advanced Dynamics AX programming training. In my last period at Thy: I was working on a project at Microsoft.

Responsible for the start-up of the Danish subsidiary. The primary focus was development of add-on modules to Dynamics AX and delivery of technical Dynamics AX expertise to projects in the Benelux area. I did general management of the subsidiary, covering everything from book-keeping, bank and accountant relations to recruitment, resource planning and daily management. I also worked as senior development resource on several projects and add-on modules.

Responsible for the establishment of a Dynamics AX development department. Recruitment, management, and training of software engineers. I was part of the company’s leadership team, and I had the overall responsibility for all software development done within the company. In addition to this, I worked as the technical lead on several large projects for customers in Benelux, Germany, and UK. I did development of add-on modules as well as vertical solutions for the automotive aftermarket industry.

Worked on several larger Concorde XAL and Dynamics AX projects. Development of entire modules for e.g. retail sales (including credit card integration), insurance, rental and data transfer. When Damgaard introduced Dynamics AX to the market, a few strategic customers was chosen, and I was a part of one of these first large projects as technical project manager.
