“Always start with user needs” – A brilliantly piece of advice that profoundly influenced my career. I first heard it at a conference around 2013 (and many times since) and its simplicity inspired me to look at ways of improving my understanding of the people for whom I design. I now work as part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team working within a Design Thinking framework, looking at all stages of product development from understanding needs and building empathy with users to ideation, prototyping and testing. __ In that time, I have been taking a leading role in:• UX design• UI design• High and low fidelity prototyping• User Research• Information Architecture• Wireframing• User Flows and Journey mapping• Facilitating workshops and Design Sprints• Demo and presentation to clients and exec boards• Analysing quantitative and qualitative data to understand the What and the Why.• Contributing to the Irwin Mitchell Design system __ Using tools such as:Miro / Sketch / Invision / VWO / Fullstory / remote user testing platforms______ I’m also experienced inCRO, SEO, Perf Optimisation, Data analytics (GA), Front end (HTML, CSS, Sass)_________ A few highlights form the last few years • Leading on UX / UI on the Client Zone project, a suite of digital products for business clients• Designed a budget reporting web app that saved General Council teams >100 hours a year.• Helped Irwin Mitchell increase conversion rates (>100% on some pages).• Contributed to the development and launch of the Irwin Mitchell Design System
