• Member of the Cisco IOS core software team. Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of various data link layer protocol features across multiple switch and router platforms. Developed LACP for the Catalyst 6500 and 7600 switches. Designed and developed a feature to support high availability for the Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) protocol between dual CPU switch blades on a 7600 chassis. • Served as project manager in the Voice Technology Group (VTG) for the development of a SS7 signaling gateway softswitch to enable a VoIP solution for a large European customer. Product was developed successfully and within the expected time frame, resulting in the deployment and enabling significant sales for Cisco.• Responsible for the development and integration of various components, both internal and third-party partners. Interacted and coordinated with the various international engineering, marketing and sales teams. Managed overall project schedule in MS Project for the various teams, managed and assigned defects, and provided project status updates.• Assumed engineering lead for Cisco development tasks, which included integrating an ISDN and H.323 protocol stack, developing an interworking API for integration with partner SS7 component and developing the IP control protocol transport mechanism (RLM, IUA/SCTP).
