Prepares the structural analysis and design computation for roads and bridges, hydraulic structures, dikes, irrigation canals, building quarters and camp site facilities using computer aided design soft wares and also conventional computations; Conduct ocular inspection of the project areas to assess actual field condition and to gather data necessary for the design of project facilities; Prepares monthly accomplishment reports, analyze reports, maps, drawings, blue prints, tests and aerial photograph on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics and other topographical and geological data to plan a design project; Involve in study and review of contracts, construction drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and other relevant documentation of the project;Inspects the full range of public works construction projects, which includes buildings, roads and highways, bridges, streets, alleys, water and sewer lines, irrigation facilities, storm drains, and permit construction in the public right-of-way, for compliance with standard details, specifications, and approved plans; Provides information to contractors, owners, or other customers regarding the Construction Code and other regulatory requirements and specifications; Monitors an assigned geographical area to identify construction being performed without a permit and for dangerous structures, issue notices of violation where unsafe or illegal conditions exist, and conducts follow-up inspections to ensure corrections are made; Investigates alleged violations of the Construction Code and related ordinances; Approves alternate methods or materials for code compliance within the scope of authority delegated by the building official; Coordinates the construction of city projects with utilities, other departments, contractors, and sub-contractors; Evaluates the quality of inspections performed by architects and engineers on projects which require special inspections;
