As a tutor I review OrCAD schematics designed to program FPGAs. I debug circuits and make suggestions on how to improve designs. The material of the labs range from basic computational logic circuits to reduced Mealy and Moore State Machines. Often times I teach the students to debug their designed by working top down. Comparing their expected outputs with their actual results. In this sense isolating errors is expedited.

I assist students with creating four year plans. Based on my knowledge of the curriculum I suggest which combinations of courses will help a student succeed and tailor the curriculum to their interests. I also do clerical work and keep forms available for students. When a student is preparing to graduate I prepare their forms and validate that their required classes have been fulfilled. My primary task is helping students so that they can do their best while they are pursuing a degree in engineering.

The engineering summer bridge gave incoming frosh the opportunity to experience some of the concepts they would be encountering later in their academic careers. The team I worked with prepared various activities to introduce the students with the campus, learn some of the basics for engineering courses, and collaborate to complete a design project.We asked the students to develop circuits to measure sound, set up micro controllers, and write basic C level programs. My primary role in as a mentor was to help students find errors in their circuits, but more importantly to share my experiences with them so that they could be prepared for college. It was an intense week, but immensely gratifying.

We aimed to design a 3D printable prosthetic that used electromyograpic for controls. Our prosthetic included a variety of sensors that monitored environmental activity and displayed the information onto a graphical user interface embedded in the forearm.Throughout the project, I performed the following tasks:-Vice Lead of the project: Performed administrative duties, accumulated funding, responsibility allocation.- Controls Lead: Set up an event framework to monitor for system events, sensory data management and SPI protocols to communicate across micro controllers.- Lead editor: Edited and formatted all formal documents that were sent out.
