o Design and release of cast aluminum housings and associated components, including the development of initial design concepts, DFMEA, DVP&R and other program specific foundation documents.o Trouble shooting and continuous improvements of parts.o Work collaboratively with other Engineers, Vehicle Program Teams and Vehicle Assembly.o Perform structural analysis.o Support design and development of cast aluminum housing systems that meet or exceed quality, cost, weight, and functional requirements using disciplines and engineering practices.

o Lifting Eye concept design for C9, C13, C15, and C140 engines-considering CG, and weight calculations; did Mechanism design on all these engines to validate the phenomena of lifting (animation) by checking for interferences, predicting tilting angles, reactive forces, also validate the design by doing FEA in Pro Mechanica. o C27 Valve cover project – converting Aluminum casted valve covers to steel stamp covers includes breather design, creating concepts, dealing with suppliers, getting sample covers, sound test, FUJI film test. o Oil filters converting the design from sand casting to Die casting.o Deviations- Working on the Design of Manufacturability with suppliers, and accepting/rejecting the requests from suppliers to manufacture parts other than CAT standards.o Understanding the CAT standards for assembly drawings, creating assembly drawings of Cover’s Group, Film groups, and other engine components.o Responsible for a six sigma project to create a preferred parts list of Seal O Rings, for all the engines manufactured in Lafayette facility.o Model Corrections in Pro E by eliminating model errors, & fixing A-Default co-ordinate system.
