In my tenure as UX Design Lead at Lowe's India, I spearheaded the user experience (UX) design for Orion, a critical vendor portal facilitating seamless business transactions between Lowe's and its vendors. Leveraging my leadership skills, I effectively managed a team of three designers while fostering strong collaboration across disciplines. Product leads, developers, POs, and organizational leaders all benefited from my collaborative approach. My contributions encompassed the entire product lifecycle. Partnering closely with the lead UX researcher, I conducted user research to deeply understand vendor needs. These insights were then translated into user-centered designs through the creation of prototypes with varying fidelities. My leadership extended beyond the immediate project. I played a pivotal role in the development of Lowe's India's design system, the Backyard Design System. This system establishes design consistency and promotes efficiency across the company's digital products. Leading the UX design for Orion has been a rewarding experience that exemplifies the multifaceted nature of this role. It demands not only design expertise but also effective leadership, cross-functional collaboration, user-centric research, strategic decision-making, and a significant contribution to building a robust design system.
