CurrentDuties:Proposes, plans and supports the development of the department ́s Programme of Work (PoW), making recommendations on new areas of work and drafting sections pertaining to own work assignment, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and supervises its implementationPartners with operational departments and external stakeholders in the development, design and implementation of project activities related to PoWProvides support in preparation of legal and financial documents related to the development and implementation of activitiesActively participates in horizontal networking and information sharing within UNWTO, supports public information and outreach activities, represents the UNWTO in training workshops, special events, meetings and seminarsActs as a reference point for communication activities; proposes a strategy and plans communication activities through different channels to support implementation and dissemination of PoW and to provide an additional service to the MembersPrepares and supervises reports and other written outputs and design support for the meetings, conferences and other eventsContributes to the development of policies, recommendations and guidelines of UNWTO to support the MembersConducts research and prepares reports on potential ways to engage Non-member States; conducts research on relevant information, conferences, academic journals and studies related to activitiesProvides technical support in the preparation of meetings, conferences, capacity building courses organized by the department, including participation in field missions; coordination with national and local partners, stakeholders and government counterparts on the logistical arrangements of participants, including travel arrangements, drafting of invitation letters and liasing with participants; assists in the development of technical content for conferences Monitors the tourism industry policy developments in Member States and at regional level
