My background is in commercial interior design, and I worked in that industry for 17+ years. Over the course of my career, my role advanced from interior designer to management of interior design and project management teams, and a leadership position within a small company.I took a break from the design industry to explore career options when I realized that I most enjoyed my work in building employee relationships and culture development. Based on my experience and interests, I have made a career transition, primarily focusing on positions in HR and Employee Relations. I recently earned my SHRM certification.In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, I have been involved in planning programs for employee engagement, retention, and well-being. I have also dabbled in marketing, especially social media and blogging, as well as providing content feedback.
