Participant At Invention Factory 2024Maker Bhavan Foundation Jun 2024 - Jul 2024Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, IndiaProvisional Patent Application Number: 202421075531- Selected from over 800 applicants, my teammate and I worked on making a multidirectional fluid-based flex sensor used for detecting movement in the form of bends; this sensor gives information about the magnitude as well as the direction of the bend unlike traditional sensors which only respond to the magnitude of the bend in a single direction. - We learned about the intricacies behind the fabrication, calibration and testing of a simple-looking sensor by talking to various professors and researchers at IIT Jammu. - The programme enhanced my speaking and presentation skills and my ability to materialise my ideas in a powerful, concise way. - I also learned about patent law from a U.S. Patent Lawyer and went on to patent my invention in India and the USA. -
