For about 2 years before moving to Canada I owned, together with Carolina, an online store of everything pop culture, geek and nerd. She was responsible mainly for for crafting, design and some managing related issues while I was responsible for the marketing, selling and managing as well. We had a good experience with the store, went to many events in the city with it and closed down when we moved out.

Maranhão eSports was the result of years of individual independent work. From around 2008 to 2012, there was an effort to foment the electronic sports competitive scene in my hometown to help build and bring the community together through different games, mainly focusing on DotA and Counter Strike. Later on, the independent championships and tournaments moved to bigger settings, as from 2012 onward, they started happening on the biggest event for pop culture, games and anime - Matsuri MA. Although I'm no longer part of the organization, I still provide consultation for it as it's still actively helping and making events for the eSports community.
