UCLA Biochemistry B.S. graduate with a passion and desire to continue learning about the business world. I co-founded and operated a small clothing manufacturing (Constellation Clothing Co.) business while pursuing my undergraduate degree, and from that experience I have become motivated by the nuances and large-scale operations of companies in sectors such as tangible consumer products, software, retail, and manufacturing. At Constellation Clothing Co., we specialized in the production of promotional customized apparel. We had clients ranging from restaurants and philanthropic organizations, to fraternities and sororities. Some of my most important takeaways and insights were in: -Logistics and Supply chain: my partner and I were constantly on the hunt for the best quality garments, manufacturers (such as those who mainly or exclusively do cut and sew, screen printing, or embroidery)-Building, testing, and adjusting marketing and customer outreach systems: we constantly brainstormed and enhanced different ways to acquire customers and over time we implemented four main approaches: customized AI based email blast systems, google ads, paper mail, and of course, lead sourcing and cold calling -Sales and Customer Acquisition: being the ‘new guys’ in the industry, we had to find creative ways to add value to our customers’ ordering experience such as a more interpersonal customer experience or innovative graphic designThis provided me with a first hand intro to the basics of operations, and looking forward, I am excited to pursue opportunities that can provide me with an education and skills in the aforementioned areas as well as: -Financial modeling: Building comprehensive financial models to project future performance (DCF, LBO, etc.) -Evaluating Investment Opportunities: Analyzing business fundamentals, financial statements, and KPIs to determine if a company is a good investment at face value, then conducting a round of due diligence. -Industry and Market Analysis: Becoming capable of immersing myself in an new field/market in order to determine which components of the industry are important metrics for a potential investment-Portfolio Management and Growth: Observing how equity partners change the operations, create value, and manage the companies they are part of -Learning From Experienced Individuals and Management Teams: watching, listening, learning, and being of help where I can to teams that are experienced in having successful exits

Private Equity InternNumeta Capital Sep 2024 - PresentLos Angeles, California, United StatesAs an Intern for Numeta Capital, a Los Angeles based private equity firm that specializes in minority growth stage investing for software as a service companies, I have been assisting in a variety of tasks including analyzing pitch decks, looking for opportunities to deploy capital, assisting with due diligence, and attending prospective meetings with new companies. Through this experience I have garnered knowledge of the ‘software as a service’ space focused on the process of qualifying leads for the firm's investment criteria of growth stage companies based on metrics such as MRR, revenue growth rate, and customer acquisition cost. Through my mentor and firm founder, Nima Shahian, I have been able to see how an experienced investor analyzes deals and opportunities not only based on company metrics but also based on deal structure. Numeta’s unique approaches to growth stage investing and acquiring capital has been insightful as it exemplifies various strategies to mitigate risk and maximize MOIC - which Numeta currently holds a 3.7x multiple. Further, Nima has taken the time to provide information on the companies Numeta is currently involved with including the duties and angles of an equity investor on the board of directors of such companies, how the deals were structured and sourced, as well as successful exit sourcing and structure. -
