Job Summary:The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, strategic programs and processes for an area or segment. In this position, will require experience to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to affect short and long-term business goals and strategy. This position will require travel to both suppliers and field construction sites• Drive supplier selection through Supplier qualification process and drive product & process qualification using quality tools and systems according to FTC Solar’s SQP.• Monitor and periodically evaluate Supplier performance through KPIs, Audits, QBRs, etc.• Improve quality performance via Quality Plan & Best Practices implementation• Report Supplier performance to management per routine schedule• Develop Supplier processes to ensure Quality of goods and services provided• Liaise between Suppliers and FTC Solar on product and process design and capability• Lead APQP/PPAP activities including but not limited to: Supplier orientation & training on FTC Solar products and parts, developing DFM, FMEA, PFM, QCP and other aspects of the QCP, observing & Pass/Fail approval of FAIs.• Maintain successful internal relationships with supply chain, engineering, and operations• Address Supplier-related issues ( sCARs, RCCA, and Continual Improvement plans)• Support Supply Chain in developing & negotiating with potential new Suppliers• Assist in the development and implementation of SQP

Facilitates communication between Sunpower, Supplier and Customer through personal or conference meeting.Responsible in resolving quality issues related to materials and installations. Working with project sites and supplier in identifying root cause through problem solving tools such as 8D. Monitor and review supplier quality performance in order to ensure quality of products Participate in supplier quarterly review with Global Commodity Manager on supplier performance (i.e DPPM, audit score etc).
