I joined PicPay during its early stages, witnessing its exponential growth from 4 million to over 40 million users. I played a key role in developing and implementing more than 7 microservices, covering the entire lifecycle from conception to production monitoring. Throughout my tenure, I witnessed the company's evolution, adapting services to handle high user volumes and implementing organizational changes to accommodate rapid employee growth.My squad's primary objective at PicPay was to obtain authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) to become a licensed Payment Institution (IP). This involved meeting stringent regulatory requirements, including assigning payment account numbers to users, enhancing user registration and verification processes, annual user revalidation, account closure, and compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations. I worked at a startup focused on measuring bovine weight from stereoscopic images. My main contributions were streamlining the processing flow, reducing processing time, and implementing new features. This involved integrating neural networks for bovine segmentation and normalizing 3D positioning using ground and bovine position detection. The image recordings were captured in cattle yards, with individual animals passing in front of the camera. I contributed to computer vision projects, including steel plate code identification in the steel industry and 3D reconstruction of ore stockpiles using stereoscopic camera images. Developed software for 3D reconstructions and a new version of the embedded software for Mogai's stereo camera. Created an Android application for camera image preview and control.In a second moment, I developed a new version of a railway yard control system for Vale, a mining company. The system allowed end users to model railway yards and equipment. I implemented a backend service that communicated with the railway equipment using low-level protocols and translated the data to OPC UA. I worked on a project for the development of an autonomous vehicle at the LCAD lab during my master's program. I joined the project before the arrival of the car and sensors, and actively participated in defining and developing various services that enabled the car to drive autonomously.The software architecture was distributed, using the publish-subscribe pattern for inter-process communication. The services were developed in C or C++. I worked on the development of several services, such as localization, mapping, user interface (Desktop), and specifically the motion planning service, which was the topic of my dissertation.By the time I completed my master's program and left the lab, the car was capable of autonomously driving on the university campus streets. Shortly thereafter, tests were conducted where the car autonomously drove between the cities of Vitória and Guarapari (ES - Brazil).Key Technologies: C/C++ Qt Cuda, OpenMP
