During the U.S. Open Cup season I volunteered to cover the games hosted by teams from New Jersey and New York. It was my job to travel to these games and write a summary of each game. This task challenged me to stay focused during the entire game to write an accurate summary of everything that happened during the game. Once the teams from New Jersey and New York were all eliminated from the tournament, I continued to volunteer my time to the website by writing summaries on past tournaments.

When I first began working at Cara Solutions I was part of a team working on a project called the Damaged Homes Project. The project’s objective was to compile a report of the damage caused by Super Storm Sandy in the states of New Jersey and New York. It was my job to travel around parts of New Jersey and New York to gather this information and to report it after each workday. I would retrieve this information by going to the municipal building of each location visited and ask to see the information available on the damage done. Our team was composed of twenty people and after the project was complete I was one of two people selected to stay with the company. Once the project was complete my job shifted to the Cara Solutions office where I worked mainly with data entry.

Right to Know was the Caldwell University campus news show. While working on the campus news show, I held a number of different positions including reporter, editor, cameraman, audio, and anchor. While working on the show I became very comfortable working in all of these positions. When working on news stories, I would often have to film myself and later edit my own videos. The show allowed me to work with a dedicated team that wanted to put on the best show possible.

As an intern for the University's athletic department it was my job to go to games to film and later edit the highlights. In addition, I announced the line ups for a number of volleyball and basketball games. During my time there I was given the opportunity to produce two news stories for the department's website. One story was about Caldwell University's Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2012 and the other about Caldwell University hosting a Title IX panel discussion to celebrate Title IX's 40th anniversary. Once my internship was over I continued to work with the department when they needed more help.
