I have been working within the Insurance Industry for 16+ years, I have gained a variety of knowledge from the different roles I have had. I started my career as an office junior in a family run Insurance Broker where I was a data entry clerk and provided assistance to the team, I then progressed to a technical based role providing full Broker support at THB Group where I produced full Lloyd's MRC slips and Certificates placements, post placement Endorsements, market & client quotations for new and renewal business, I produced client documentation and issuance. I had experience interfacing with brokers and underwriters and looking after client accounts attaching to various specialist binder facilities such as war and sports. I progressed to a senior technician level when I joined Integro Insurance Brokers now known as Tysers Insurance Brokers where I have been for past 10 years. Whilst at Tysers I have had experience processing premium bordereaux , XIS Processing, AIF submissions, due diligence checking and processing client premiums along with producing client documentation. Solving IBA queries, leasing with underwriters with regards to line slip and binders, involvement with external audits with binders. In my latest role I was promoted to a manager whereby I currently run a team of 6 within broker Operations. I have since been involved with, recruitment, interviews, onboarding and training of staff. Monitoring staff workflow, setting objectives and conducting appraisals, assisting with managerial reports and analysing data, assisting with improving company standards and analysing first time right data, ensuring held funds are kept to a minimum and ensuring deadlines and service levels are kept to a company standard including the monitoring of contract certainty data. I have also recently been involved with assisting with BORs and MTBC process with Xchanging. I have dealt with a variety of classes of business including, North America liability,Construction,US Property, Flood, Auto transport, Personal Accident/Personal Accident and Illness and Repatriation Medical Expenses Insurance, Reinsurance, Kidnap and Ransom, Directors and officers, Professional Liability, I consider myself to be a well presented and self-motivated individual who possesses both excellent organisational and communication skills, together with good IT and database knowledge.
