-Manage and oversee the day to day operations. Provide food, shelter, clothing, transportation, access to medical care, and counseling services to veterans, ex-offenders, and homeless individuals and their families.-Provide resources to other organizations. Collaborate with other community based organizations and with military service organizations to insure veterans receive their benefits. Assist veterans in housing, counseling, medical, and filing disability claims. -Work closely with other community organizations such as the Veteran Community Support Network, the Parole and Community Team, and Sacramento Employment and Training Agency to assist homeless and ex-offenders in getting re-established in the community.

-Schedules employee work tours & grants leave. Conducts annual performance evaluations, provides expert troubleshooting and technical assistance, trains employees through lectures and demonstrations in proper use of equipment & protocols, implements all new assays following JACHO, CAP & NACCLS guidelines.-Monitors & maintains cost efficiency of section, monitors & maintains section productivity through quarterly reports, prepares annual report of unit productivity and sections major activities/accomplishments, maintains adequate inventory with monthly inventory inspections.-Review and update all procedure manuals annually, Perform clinical assays, review & verify all panic, toxic and unusual results, ensure critical values are promptly & accurately reported and documented, encourage cross training, coverage and team building with al other sections of the Service to maintain coverage.-Responsible for training and continuing education, conducts section meetings as needed, participates in all Service meetings, arrange for technical employees to attend one local seminar/workshop.-Participates in Quality Assurance and performs satisfactorily in internal & external QA activities. Responsible for timely & reliable reporting & reviewing of internal/external QC programs. Monitors internal QC program, data sheets and charts. Review & document all corrective action on out of control data. Perform an annual CAP like inspection in-house. Deficiencies to be corrected and documented and an inspection summary report written and forwarded to the Chief.
