Once I decided it was time to complete college, selecting an industry became my next challenge. I decided to become a CPA. I began my public accounting experience with Arthur Andersen & Company in 1966, when they were recognized as one of the top firms in the world. It was a great experience and provided me with an immense wealth of knowledge.Specialties: At UCH, in addition to overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, I was responsible for our risk management program, I worked with our legal counsel on any legal matters, I oversaw the IT department for my first 25 years and for the last 15 years I was the Secretary and Treasurer of our housing subsidiary corporations. I was one of the primary internal staff members that worked on and negotiated our acquisitions. After almost 8 years of retirement and lots of tennis playing, I find I still have some brain power left and lots of time to do something else. My criteria is simple, hours must be flexible, pay should be appropriate (lower than the norm is quite acceptable), the employer must be ethical, value quality, loyalty, family & be receptive of new ideas.Interested in providing good practical recommendations to improve employee morale, efficiency, financial information at a very affordable cost and in a short time.
