    Designed, developed, and directed the Hansen Summer Institute on Leadership and International Cooperation, a three-week leadership course held in the summers of 2007-2009. Based at San Diego State University, this involved creating online applications for undergraduate foreign students and U.S. students based on U.S. State Department Standards. The Hansen Fellows, chosen in a competitive selection process, had all expenses paid by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation. 20 Fellows per year came from over 50 countries, and 10 Fellows per year came from local San Diego Universities. Students lived together in the dorms, learned together in the classroom though active learning and simulations with experts in conflict and conflict resolution, and experienced field trips to local leaders, businesses, and attractions to complete their training. Pre and post program evaluations took place to measure how the training impacted the participants, who remain in touch to this day via Facebook and email.
