After getting my MA TESOL degree from the School for International Training, I lived in Japan and taught English to Japanese businessmen for four years. I was also a writer and editor for Time Life Books, creating, writing and editing, English language books for publication. Over the past 30 years, since returning to the US, I have been the founding director of three university intensive English programs. And with my wife, co-owned and managed our own international school in Colorado for eight years. During this time I was Project Manager for six USAID training programs under the Central American Peace Scholarship, the Andean Peace Scholarship, and the Pakistani Participant Training Program. I am President and CEO of Global TEFL and a senior teacher trainer and trainer of trainers for World Learning-SIT Graduate Institute. I have trained teachers in Korea, Mexico, Costa Rica. Algeria, Angola, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, as well as having managed three training sites in the US. I have also trained Algerian supervisors, Turkish educators (teacher trainers), and university professors in Kyrgyzstan for the US State Department, In 2014 I conducted a three-week needs analysis of English teaching grades 3-9 in Albania for the US State Department and Albanian Ministry of Education and Sport. And between 2015-17 I delivered three 3-hour webinars to Yemenis English teachers on the subject of "Engaging Our Students in the Learning Process". Also 2015, I conducted a 9-week needs analysis and training of university professors and students in Cabinda, Angola for the US State Department.
