I am a capable Finance Executive with significant experience as CFO and Financial Consultant for many well known companies in a wide variety of industries. From software to energy and from service industry to manufacturing, I have worked with business leaders across North America and Europe. I am a hands-on leader with very strong technical and problem solving skills. I "step-in" to assist companies in need of interim leadership and make an immediate impact, often as CFO, or for a specific project be it for critical process improvements, financial statement preparation, IPO readiness, M&A activities or restructurings. I believe strong leadership is based on straight-forward communications and leading by example. This sets the tone of an efficient workplace, creating an atmosphere of respect and a team that is inspired. I take great pride in my ability in dealing with change - identifying issues by getting to the core, recommending solutions and carrying out thoughtful implementation.I am constantly learning. There are many comprehensive courses available to me through the professional institutions governing my professional designations - I take full advantage of these.I have significant past experience as a Board Member of TSX and NASDAQ listed companies. To keep up-to-date with Governance best practices, I enrolled in the Directors Education Program at Rotman School of Management in the fall of 2016. I now proudly have the designation of ICD.D beside my name. This led to my appointment in January of 2018 to the Board of the Global Financial Group of companies with assets under administration of $1 billion. I am also Chair of the Audit Committee.I am currently looking for new opportunities for Board Membership at small to medium size companies in need of financial leadership. I am also open to new opportunities as an Interim CFO. I would be happy to start a conversation. You can reach me at ronbrooks2014@gmail.com.
