Director, DC Operations is responsible for all elements of the Distribution Center Operation, including but not limited to: employee safety, team engagement, growth & development, operational execution and strategy, inventory control, cost and service delivery, capacity planning and operational efficiency.Skilled at developing long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior management to meet company objectives. Drives a safe and positive employee culture, understands the connectivity of DC Operations to the global supply chain and oversees all operations in the warehouse and offsites to ensure consistent, efficient workflows yielding optimal productivity and performance.

The Senior Operations Manager (SOM) is primarily responsible for overseeing all of Operations, or the flow of product through the building. This includes supervising a team of operations supervisors responsible for monitoring the safe, efficient and effective movement of inventory through the facility. This role analyzes and forecasts production volume and reevaluates resources throughout the day as workflow conditions change to meet store demand. The SOM partners with his/her staff to achieve or exceed key performance indicator targets despite these fluctuating demands. The SOM resolves more complex operational issues escalated from his/her team and is responsible for communicating business objectives and daily workload plans to team and senior leadership.

Responsible for solving complex business issues. Develop guidelines, procedures and action plans to set future precedent and direction. Accountable for the daily operational performance of the facility, including Partner relations, customer service, expense control, and safety. Provide leadership and development to Team Leaders, Partners, and stakeholders within the supply chain. Major functions include supporting the department's future direction and vision, mobilizing Partner commitment, and coordinating staffing and planning. Maximize the use of H E B assets and resources to achieve facility and departmental financial goals.

Responsible for designing and implementing all material storage and delivery strategies, processes and corresponding metrics to reduce or eliminate production downtime/operator burden related to parts availability in a rapid growth, multi-version environment.

Directed and/or managed 9 exempt supervisors, up to 200 team members, with responsibility for all KPI’s, distribution/operational processes in a continual growth, 24/7 environment. Responsibilities included forecasting, scheduling, staffing, receiving, putaway, picking and delivery, shipping, inventory, repacking, sub-assembly, quality control, inspection, customer service parts, vendor returns, maintenance inventory and all related functions for over 20,000 parts valued at over $70 million.

Responsible for 4 supervisors, up to 120 FT/PT team members, and the operational practices and procedures for receiving, reconciliation, serialization, order filling, shipping, and distribution of Pearson product for state contracts worth well over $300 million. Restructured processes solving interdepartmental issues concerning inventory management/flow, production scheduling, labor balance, with minimal operational impact while improving customer satisfaction.

Challenged with flowing 1.5 million cases/wk. through a 1.4 million sq/ft. Distribution Center to over 90 Wal-Mart stores with unparalleled customer service and accuracy. Change manager, hand-picked to lead failing business units representing all DC functionality's including: shipping, receiving, non-con, process-flow coordination, order filling, reserve stocking/replenishment, FID, and pick-to-light.
