Ron Cable is a Judge at Akron Municipal Court. Ron Cable was a Magistrate with the Summit County Juvenile Court from January 2017 to December 2017. Magistrate Ron Cable had been with the Summit County Domestic Relations Court from July of 2000 until December of 2016. Prior to serving as a full-time magistrate, he worked as both a judicial attorney and part-time magistrate with the Summit County Domestic Relations Court. Magistrate Cable has additional experience working for Legal Aid and as an attorney in private practice. Magistrate Cable graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in political science and from the University of Akron School of Law with a Juris Doctor. Magistrate Cable also attended the Capital University School of Law. In addition to his legal experience, Magistrate Cable worked as a case manager where he assisted inmates from the federal prison system with reestablishing their family relationships and with gaining employment upon their release. Magistrate Cable also worked in the juvenile correction system where he assisted troubled youth. In addition to his work as a magistrate, Ron Cable is involved as a mediator and presenter in the Court’s programs that promote conflict resolution. Furthermore, Ron Cable serves on various boards including the Autism Society of America, Greater Akron Chapter, University of Akron Learning Commons Task Force, University of Akron Friends of the Library, Akron Bar Association Family Law Section Officer, Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism Task Force, Summit County Fatherhood Initiative Steering Committee and Family Relations and Interdisciplinary Counsel of Summit County. Ron Cable is a member of the Ohio Association of Magistrates, the Akron Bar Association and is a fellow of the Akron Bar Foundation. Ron Cable is a resident of Akron, Ohio where he lives with his wife and three children.
