I have over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in North America.I began with Weatherford in 1984 as a roughneck and left in 2010 as a Divisional Operations Manager. During my time at Weatherford I held various supervisory and managerial positions. This time at Weatherford allowed me to gain extensive experience in project management while overseeing the development, design, and build of large oil and gas service equipment. I was able to hone my presentation, marketing, and sales skills while introducing a new Weatherford business to the industry. While at Weatherford I was the SME for continuous rod operations and later as an SME for horizontal well intervention and evaluation.I have worked as a supervisor and manager throughout Western Canada as well as a few US states and I held a US work visa for a few years while with Weatherford. In more recent years I have been employed as an HSE consultant for major and minor oil producers in Alberta focusing mainly on drilling activities as well as completions and construction operations.

I worked with Murphy Oil for a short period of time with the main focus being facilities construction.
I started out working as an HSE advisor with MEG Energy. I worked on a Delineation drilling project during my first winter and then moved over to the SAGD drilling group for the remainder of my time with them.
While with CPS division of Weatherford I gained extensive field and management experience which resulted in the opportunity to become involved in horizontal evalation and intervention on wells using various downhole tools and continuous rod. In 2004 I moved to the DWS division to pursue the further development of these ideas. After receiving a couple of International patents I moved ahead with the design, testing, and building of prototype units focused on evaluating and supplying intervention on horizontal and highly deviated wells. As this was a new business I had the opportunities to develop marketing for the product and also gained extensive sales experience.
I spent a couple of years while with the CPS division developing, building, and managing a pressure control unit to allow for better and safer operations while using continuous rod in live well applications. During this time I also was involved in several other projects including operations manuals.
I managed and supervised all aspects of the continuous rod operations for the CPS division in the western district. During that time our group operated without a recordable accident and our financial performance led the business unit.
I took over the continuous rod supervisory position for the north when it was in a dismal state. Within a year our group led as a positive example for the business unit. No recordable injuries and excellent financial performance throughout.
I was promoted to a supervisory position while working out of the Bonnyville office in northern Alberta. I was responsible for all the area rigs that were not at Imperial oil.
I began my time with Weatherford working as a roughneck on the fill in rig based out of Edmonton and we worked all over western Canada. A year later I took over as the push/operator of the Elk Point area rig and after a few months I moved to Cold Lake and operated rigs at Imperial Oil. I then took over the BP Wolf Lake rig and was there for 2 years. While at BP I gained extensive experience as all of our work was on live wells.
