Senior Mechanical Designer
Last product developed was a 1250A Circuit Breaker with a 12 person team. Created the Master assembly. Team designed Breaker and internal/extermal accessories to meet UL and IEC requirements and testing. I designed high volume parts and created the production drawings for; compression thermoset and injection thermoplastic parts. Other designs and drawings included machined metal parts, formed and progressive tool formed sheetmetal parts from copper, brass, steel and aluminum. Created schematic and wiring diagrams, Subassembly and final assembly drawings/BOM's. Worked with team members and other teams within the corporation both domestic and international. Those teams included Marketing, German Project Management, Quality and Industrial Designers. Traveled to domestic and Mexican locations for developing vendors and the preproduction and production lines for final product. Created instruction sheets including drawings for breaker preparation for installation and accessory installation and testing. All work performed on PC based CAD utilizing NX and ProE software.
