Zurich consolidated Global Corporate and commercial businesses to create Zurich Commercial Insurance. Ron's new global role is to help strengthen Zurich’s customer focus by driving our strategy and key initiatives around Customer Management. Ron also continues his roles on the Board of Directors for the Strategic Account Management Association, the Spencer Educational Foundation, and represents Zurich on the Alumni Committee of the David Rockefeller Fellows Program. Ron has been with Zurich since 2000.

And since 2013 is a member of the David Rockefeller Fellows Program Alumni Committee.Executive VP & Head of Market Customers: January 2011 to October 2015 - Working with Zurich Global Corporate in North America, responsibility to further develop and strengthen Zurich's Market Customer strategy in the United States and Canada. As part of this role he leads the Customer & Distribution representation with key functions: Underwriting, Risk Engineering, Claims, Sales & Distribution, and Corporate Life & Pensions. He also leads the Cross-selling program, and Zurich's Global Market Customer Leader Network. From 2011 to Feb 2014, Ron also was Head of Business Analytics.

Ron Davis is Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Management, General Insurance, at Zurich Financial Services, where he is responsible for implementing customer management best practices across the General Insurance business segment. He is Chair of The Zurich Way of Cross-selling, one of the key initiatives supporting the Group's strategic cornerstones of customer-centricity and profitable growth. Davis joined Zurich in 2000 and previously held executive and operations-level positions at Factory Mutual Insurance Company and Arkwright Insurance. He has an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal and a business degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey. He has more than 20 years of business experience dealing with many of the world’s largest multi-national companies; during this time he has lived in Europe, Canada and the United States. For 2006-2007 he was selected to be a member of the David Rockefeller Fellows Program, which is associated with The Partnership for New York City. Mr. Davis is also on the Advisory Council of Project Bookmark Canada, a non-profit organization.

I've been involved with SAMA for many years, had been a member of the SAMA Knowledge Committee, and joined the Board of Directors in August 2013. In April 2015 I became a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. SAMA is a world leader in advancing the art and science of strategic customer management.

I started representing Zurich Insurance on the Spencer Educational Foundation Board of Directors in 2011. I was President 2014 and 2015, and in 2016 and 2017 I was Chairman. And then I continued to be a Board member, including being the Chair of the Board Composition & Governance Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee. Having served for maximum period of13 years, I retired from the Board in December 2023, and continue to support Spencer's mission.

Started as an Account Representative in Arkwright Mutual's Montreal office. accountable for servicing existing customers and producing new business in eastern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Target market was “Financial Post 500” companies. Promoted to more senior level sales and field management positions. Moved to Toronto in 1985 and in 1990 was named the first Head of Canadian Operations, responsible for sales, claims, underwriting, engineering, and administration with employees in Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary offices. Relocated to Annecy, France in 1994 to establish Arkwright operations across 12 European countries. Also responsible for reverse-flow activities run out of Norwalk, Connecticut offices. In 1999 based in Paris, was named Head of France Operations for Factory Mutual Insurance Company, a new company, resulting from the merger of Arkwright, Allendale, Protection Mutual, and Factory Mutual. Responsibility to lead, develop and implement the consolidation and restructuring for the new company in France, The Netherlands and Belgium.
