Senior Project Architect / Construction CoordinatorTasso Katselas Associates, Airport Planning & Design May 1990 - May 1996Specifically hired as a Senior Construction Administrator in a 60 man on site office with multiple consultants in concert with Mellon Stuart / Dick Enterprises, a CM joint venture, to direct more than 3,000 different contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, vendors and fabricators in a mass unified effort to build the Midfield Terminal Complex, the Country’s second largest airport at a cost of one billion dollars.Anchored the construction management of the Landside Terminal Building, including ticketing operations; baggage claim and check-in; car rental and limo service facilities; and administration offices for the Department of Aviation, the airlines, and multiple concessionaire tenant spaces.Concurrently managed the construction of the Central Services Building, a mixed-use structure whose various levels housed maintenance offices, workshops, storage areas, police station, and vehicle garages, while providing the mechanical and electrical services for the entire Midfield Terminal Project.Supervised the installation of, provided modification direction for, and successfully interfaced the conveyance package that included 30 escalators, 29 elevators and 24 moving walkways.Acted as USAir's liaison during the Airport's construction period by representing their interests in an expeditious manner, providing on-site directions to the various prime contractors.
