About Ron Gutstein

Over the course of my career I have had the unique experience of having to understand and participate in management decisions on both the sell and buy sides of the industry. As a sell-side trader with the responsibility of building long-term relationships with mutual funds, hedge funds and private offices, I have had the opportunity to build desks that rolled out new products, manage integrations between merging firms both domestic and international, develop compliance and risk management programs, and formulate business strategies within the framework of larger organizations. My work on the sell side has also afforded me the freedom to run several activist campaigns. Serving as a trustee of a mutual fund from its launch through the closing to new investors, I have gained valuable insights into the perspectives and requirements of large investors. Helping guide a fund through the ever changing regulatory and business environment has been rewarding.
