Our apparel is made in the USA, then cut and sewn in Guatemala and Haiti. Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of plastic in our waste stream, oceans and landfills. PET bottles take 600 to 700 years to degrade in our landfills. Pricing of our garments is competitive and in line with virgin cotton and moisture wicking apparel. I lead the Portland Chapter of the Oregon Alumni Assn. We have over 45,000 alumni in the greater Portland area, the largest for any city. Our board and volunteers help connect alumni through several events. This includes our Duck football watch parties at Cinetopia in their Beaverton location; Science Nights at Widmer Brewing feature leading UO professors and Deans; and, our Duck Happy Hour and Biz Lunch networking events. There are many more Portland area alumni events that we coordinate with our UOAA staff members. Funds we raise at these events go into our Portland scholarship fund to help local area high school students to attend Oregon and achieve their educational goals.
