Indentured apprenticeship in electrical engineering with the Reed Paper group. After graduation I joined the project engineering office working on new facilities/major upgrades. For wider industry experience I moved to the Oil Industry. Initially working on oil refinery and petrochemical plant projects. Eventually leading me to the offshore oil and gas production side of the industry. There followed many years working in project management / project engineering / electrical engineering positions from conception, development, design, and procurement phases. Sometimes this included construction, commissioning and handover of the facilities to the operations group. Worked mainly in the UK but also worked and lived in Holland, Sweden and USA. I have had the privilege to be a member and work with some great team colleagues. I consider this to have been a key factor to the success of these projects.
