In my capacity, I play an integral role in designing, building, and managing WMATA's entire long-haul and a regional fiber-optic network containing 40,676 fiber strands (267.11 fiber route miles) as presently documented in the WMATA IT GIS infrastructure database. I also competently manage the infrastructure operational budget + by implementing cost-effective technology solutions. I mobilize the Infrastructure team with 16+ employees and 5+ IDIQ contractors, consisting of 15-120 people per contractor.As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I designed, built, and managed the construction +, 108-mile data center to data center fiber connectivity for the DWDM ring. I delivered asset visibility, decreased design time, reduced construction cost, and hastened outage response by identifying, procuring, developing, and placing a GIS infrastructure management database into production, which captured all of WMATA’s IT infrastructure assets, including fiber cables, copper cables, Wi-Fi AP’s/WIPS, and network equipment.With my key performance, I successfully delivered 100% connectivity throughout the WMATA rail system by utilizing creativity and keen attention to detail in developing a new fiber system strategy through the design and construction of a micro duct/air-blown fiber. Besides that, I effectively deployed WMATA’s station Wi-Fi system throughout 91+ stations which are containing 550 Access Points. I headed the processing and completion of 1K+ moves, adds, changes, and trouble tickets throughout the entire Metro system in 2020. Lastly, I championed IT infrastructure standardization and maximized efficiencies and growth across the organization, proactively collaborating and creating mutually beneficial partnerships with customer groups.

Having served as a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer, I fulfilled engineering work in the specialized area of design, improvement, documentation, test, and verification of a complex copper and fiber infrastructure, consisting of legacy and modern ISP and OSP cabling mediums, while adhering to government codes and industry standards. I governed process development, project planning, and coordination of all projects and tasks within a project, including ISP or OSP cabling infrastructure within WMATA, ensuring proper management, oversight, and approval of all-fiber cabling.In this role, I significantly functioned as a Senior Project Leader for cabling infrastructure development and implementation for all WMATA IT-Infrastructure deployments with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. I showcased my proficiency in developing and presenting practical recommendations to management to enhance and upgrade the existing cabling infrastructure, ensuring reliable voice, data, and video transmission. Lastly, I ensured consistent engineering processes application across all cabling infrastructure, projects, programs, and initiatives.

During my tenure as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, I formulated complex plans to research, evaluate, design, and develop IT Infrastructure systems by applying engineering, hardware, and software design theories and principles to build a compatible system infrastructure in line with organizational strategies. I also enforced my expertise in resolving complex problems impacting IT Infrastructure and developing cost estimates for OSP/ISP communications designs, including access control systems, CATV and CCTV systems, Local Area Networks, and SCADA systems. On top of that, I consistently met and exceeded SLAs (service level agreements) and KPIs (key performance indicators) as defined in relevant contracts.

Back as a Senior Project Infrastructure Engineer for the University of Pennsylvania, I evaluated dark fiber and lit capacity options while delivering solutions to support both responses to customer inquiries and network planning initiatives to expand, optimize, groom, and diversify networks within the University of Pennsylvania.
