Early-stage venture investing: Invest in early-stage venture funds that align with Capital One priorities. Developed strategy for each investing practice area in consultation with venture capital and business leaders. Scan the market for relevant funds, and lead due diligence on top prospects. Write investment memos for top choices, and present them to the venture partners and the investment committee. Shepherd investments through legal, tax, risk, and compliance. Introduce investments to stakeholders and launch value harvesting programs: meeting portfolio companies, intelligence gathering, providing feedback to fund managers and company founders.Initiated and manage programs to extract intelligence from venture funds that Capital One has invested in: monthly calls on dealflow, tracking reports on fund portfolio companies, executive briefings on strategic topics, fireside chats/webinars with fund managers for Capital One associates.
