Alphen Aan Den Rijn
In charge of 2 major projects within Technische Unie logistics. The first one is building the extension of the DPS system with 70,000 locations (33%) and extra inbound, outbound and repack capacity. The second one was implementing a new WMS (Manhattan WMOS) in both our CDC's (Alphen aan den Rijn en Strijen) to replace an IBM mainframe legacy system. Both projects are currently in their finishing stage.

Responsible for a project to automate the CDC of Technische Unie in Alphen aan den Rijn. After a extended selection and tender proces the choise was made for the Dynamic Picking System (DPS) of company Witron.In 2006 the pre-engeneering was started together with the supplier. In 2007 the building of phase 1 was started. The whole system was build in 3 phases. This was necessary because it had to be build within the existing warehouse during the daily operation. So everything was build while the normal business was going on as usual. In 2011 the last phase was finished and taken into operation. The total project was deliverd on time and within budget. Currently 80% of the total goodsflow within Technische Unie is coming out of the DPS.Some key-figures of the DPS:300,000 bins200,000 stocklocations70,000 SKU on stock50,000 orderlines a day 18,000 orderbins a day
Manager of a department of 20 FTE which was responsible for maintaining the total ICT-infrastructure of Technische Unie from PC till IBM mainframe. Next to that also the international helpdesk was part of the responsibility.
