This is an endeavor of the Sentinel Patriot Club, a North Carolina 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that raises money and provides funding for educational and equipment needs of law enforcement that are not provided for in their current budgets. We also give grant funds to Blue Ridge Community College to be awarded by them as scholarship funding for tuition assistance to young men and women taking Basic Law Enforcement Training as a prerequisite to entering a career in law enforcement as sworn officers.Working with other local nonprofit organizations, we provide funds to subsidize the payroll costs of local off duty law enforcement personnel who serve as organization mentors and counselors to under-served, underprivileged, and minority children in the community. These officers teach civics, good citizenship, and serve as role models showing the children the positive effects of mutual respect. These efforts lead to building bridges of better communications within the community now and in the future.
