Promoted to provide strategic leadership of technology operations across the US, including building and leading a nationally dispersed team of 5 technical resources. Held direct oversight of infrastructure operations, network access and cyber security aspects, as well as incident response, disaster recovery and system/network administration. Partnered with senior leadership on strategic planning, process improvement, cost analysis and capacity planning. Managed and allocated $2M operating budget and project budgets of up to $900K.Led the implementation of Track-IT help desk system to enhance ticket response/resolution time; introduced key performance indicators (KPIs) and trained team members on how to track them to ensure the attainment of Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements. Introduced risk mitigation and disaster recovery strategies to effectively manage network outages, achieving 98% uptime over the last 3-years. Directed the conversion from MPLS WAN to full mesh DMVPN between manufacturing sites, eliminating redundancy and reducing WAN downtime across all sites. Designed and implemented VMware environment, condensing 50 physical servers down to a cluster of 6 hosts, which reduced physical server footprint, cooling and power consumption. Implemented NetApp SAN for the new environment to reduce storage footprint and file server sprawl.Spearheaded the replacement of PBX system to enhance communications; researched and onboarded Cisco VoIP phone system across the organization.Facilitated email upgrade from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2013, delivering in 2 months and at $50K under budget.Provided end-to-end leadership of the implementation and configuration of VMware Horizon link cloned pools for manufacturing plant, driving a 50% cost reduction through the replacement of desktops with PCoIP terminals.Led the conversion from Exchange 2013 to Office 365, standardizing across all functional areas to support data sharing and collaboration.
