Rena Castings is an aluminium high pressure die casting company. Rena Castings is supplier to the automotive industry. Core business is aluminium high pressure die casting and CNC machining of aluminium products.Tasks:- Part of the Management Team of Rena Castings as Head of Projects. In this role I am responsible for all projects within the company. (since september 2019)- Project Management: Coordinate the process from initial order to release for serial production. Customer contact is essential and customer/product requirements must be translated into a production process. I have experience in working under ISO/TS 16949 and am familiar with APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA and 8D problem analysis.- Sales: Make calculations and quotations for serial production parts and tools. Sales conversations with existing and new customers. Attend trade exhibitions.- Production Engineering: Make suggestions for improvements and implement them, to optimize existing serial production (reduce errors / increase output).

Joulz is a subsidiary of the Eneco Group and a specialist in the field of power infrastructure. Joulz designs, builds, manages, maintains and optimizes smart grids (medium-voltage, high-voltage and gas).Tasks:- In the first two months a tour through various departments of the company was made to get to know all the different departments and functions. The course "Functioning Effectively and Succesfully" was also a part of the training period.- Setting up a planning department (2 fte) and working in this department as a planner for several months.- Involved in the implementation of new administrative systems like SAP and Field Service Automation.

Tasks: Helping customers calling with questions, problems or complaints about their computer, audio set, digital camera etc. A short training course about communication and customer service was part of the introduction training. (Part time job)

Thesis: Specification of a real-time fluorescence detection module for automated molecular biology assays. The sensor had to be capable of measuring very low concentrations of labelled RNA molecules in a minimum of time. These concentrations are measured by optical spectroscopy.Initially several theoretical models were designed to evaluate the different factors that might affect the measured output signal. Subsequently one type of sensor was tested extensively. After several design changes, the final specifications were determined.

Tasks: Putting a new evaporator/sputter device into use. With this device a metal is evaporated in a vacuum. The evaporated metal particles condense on a glass substrate and form a very thin layer of metal.After the device was put into use, the possibilities for sputtering thin layers of aluminium and ITO for the development of PolyLEDs were explored.
