In 1998, Ron became part of Stryker Corporation with the acquisition of Howmedica, Inc. He joined Stryker as Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development. He played a critical role in the integration of the two domestic sales forces. In 2000, Ron was appointed to the position of President of Stryker EMEA. As President of EMEA, he was responsible for all of Stryker’s international distribution businesses.In 2001, Ron was promoted to the position of Group President, Stryker International where he shaped the growth and further development of Stryker's Pacific and Japan divisions. In 2005, Stryker added global responsibility of their orthopaedic division to his position of Group President, International and Global Orthopaedics. Ron concentrated and heavily focused on strengthening the Stryker Orthopaedic business worldwide.Ron retired from Stryker in 2007. He now provides strategic consulting services through Lawson Group, LLC, which specializes in the global orthopaedic device industry. He is former Chairman of the Board of IMDS, an orthopaedic contract manufacturing and innovation company. Ron is a former member of the Health Care Advisory Board of Arsenal Capital Partners. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Plasmology4 Corporation. He served for 7 years on the Board of Directors of DJO Global, a Blackstone Asset which transacted in 2019. He also served on the Board of Directors of Medovex Corporation. Ron recently joined the board of My Medical Images which is an exciting new company that will revolutionize medical imaging by giving patients and physicians instant access to their medical imaging history.

Ron started his career with Howmedica, selling Orthopaedic devices in the southeast. After achieving success as a sales representative, he was promoted to the position of regional sales manager of the Northeast region. After serving as a regional sales manager, Ron was promoted to the position of assistant to the Executive Vice President of Howmedica. He was responsible for developing a sales training program and a sales support team. Ron was then transferred to Pfizer Corporate Headquarters. He was given the responsibility for creating a new division in Orthopaedics. This division imported European manufactured implants that were viewed as commodities and were sold directly to customers through a direct mail program. Ron returned to the Howmedica division in 1974 as a National sales manager. In 1975, he left Howmedica to become an independent distributor in the Northeast.In 1975, he formed Professional Orthopaedics, Inc. Over the next 18 years Professional Orthopaedics became a successful multi-division distribution company. Between 1994 and 1995, he sold his distribution companies and rejoined the Howmedica division of Pfizer in 1996. He rejoined Howmedica as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Distribution. He was responsible for driving sales growth worldwide and furthering the development of the global distribution network. He was also responsible for creating a global education and training program. In partnership with Slack Corporation, they created the internet-based orthopaedic study program, called "The Hyperguide Study Program". This program was well received as an educational tool by the global orthopaedic community. In 1998, Ron was a key member of the management presentation team that led to the sale of Howmedica Inc. to Stryker Corporation.
