Product Investigator - Fire investigator Responsible for the establishment of strategies and delivery of technical field solutions to counsel, engineering, safety and customer support teams. Primary responsibilities include resolving technical escalations from field support representatives, regarding product related concerns to determine accountability and trending analysis. Work in conjunction with the field action campaign group (Recalls, Safety and Service) to establish root cause, scope, consequence and validation of field trends. Evaluate pre-litigation/litigation matters, and assist in the development of a technical strategy with counsel and management. Conduct field investigations, property damage, injury in relation to vehicle fires and accidents. Provide a written technical analysis for all arbitration matters and aid in management of arbitration process. Represent and testify at arbitration hearings. Primary contact for all field related alleged safety matters. Act as the conduit for engineering, fleet, quality and manufacturing to provide a technical analysis on field data. Advise legal staff on the processes and procedures, of investigations and campaigns.
