I have been working in the energy and utility industry for nearly two decades in roles from project management and executive leadership at a private consulting firm to overseeing the IT GIS department at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD - the nation's leading sustainable electric utility). This experience provided me with deep insights into industry challenges and the dire need for innovative solutions in the geospatial tech space, eventually leading to my founding of RYKER Geospatial.My experience in geographic information systems, management of IT projects and teams, leadership of utility business operations, and ability to strategically navigate past challenges at the enterprise level, drives our vision at RYKER. I am currently enrolled in the Chief Technology Officer Program at MIT to further enhance my skillsets to advance our team, with the ultimate goal of being on the forefront of industry leading technologies and providing meaningful value to our partners and clients. During my time at SMUD, I was responsible for project planning and resourcing, contract management, enterprise GIS and non-GIS systems, cross-departmental integrations, team building, leadership, and more. I now leverage this experience in hopes of helping our colleagues across the industry.At RYKER, we employ skilled IT GIS professionals with former experience being directly employed with utilities and infrastructure teams.
