I have worked in the field of developmental disabilities for over 35 years. First I coordinated a program in early childhood for children with severe needs at Boston University, then I was the prinipal for Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) at Margaret Walters School in Jefferson County Colorado for eighteen years. For the past twelve years I have served as the Director of Community Relations and PIO for DDRC in Lakewood, Colorado.My passion is to promote the success of people with developmental disabililties and their families. In my position I have the opportunity to advocate for resources and legislative support to improve the lives of those in our society most in need, people with developmental disabilities.I am the past president of the Denver International Program www.dipusa.org out of DU and the president of the Ralston House, a child advocacy center www.ralstonhouse.net - In addition I support Minds Matter a mentoring program to help high school students from low income families. I also serve on the board of Sooper Credit Union, a member owned financial institution.In addition I have served as president and am still an active member of the Ralston Creek Sertoma Club a civic club in Arvada that meets weekly at Panera's on Wadsworth every Thursday morning at 7:30 am.Specialties: Marketing, Public Relations, Photography, Writing and Public Speaking
