Employed with Manitoba Hydro, the crown owned electricity and gas utility in Manitoba, Canada starting 1977 but since 2016 I have now "retired" into the consulting field. I'm a Certified Engineering Technologist , and have received certification as an Energy Manager, Demand Side Management, and Measurement and Verification Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers.I was the first Canadian participant to qualify as a DOE AIRMaster+ specialist. I've worked in the industrial compressed air field since 1995 as an Industrial Systems Officer for Manitoba Hydro’s Customer Engineering Services Department. I was Manitoba Hydro’s industrial compressed air systems expert and my efforts contributed significantly to the utility’s Power Smart Performance Optimization program, a utility incentive program that supports industrial customer energy audits and electrical and gas efficiency projects with over 700 projects completed.I am currently the owner of Marshall Compressed Air Consulting, specializing in compressed air system improvement training, assessments, and technical writing.I am an active member of Compressed Air Challenge's stable of trainers. I'm a frequent contributor to various compressed air related trade magazine articles. I have international expert trainer experience with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization serving on various missions to Malaysia and Myanmar.
