He was formerly a consultant at MITCHELL C.E.A. working with growers in West Africa, Las Vegas, S.F. Bay Area, and Hawaii teaching growers Controlled Environment Agriculture (C.E.A) techniques for indoor farms, using aeroponics and hydroponics to grow lettuce and herbs. Ron was the Co-Founder, Head Grower at Local Greens Inc, from 2012 to 2018. The Berkeley California-based company was an organic indoor vertical farm using advanced CEA to grow microgreens, herbs, and leafy greens. As a Professional Consultant, he focused on C.E.A. business, including equipment design and installation, seed bank development and germination, atmospheric management, water quality and fertilization, product R&D, pest management, personnel training, organic growing, sanitation, CDFA and CCOF regulations. Ron was the Founder and Head Grower at Lone Palm Farm, Inc. on the Big Island of Hawaii for 20 years. LPF is an indoor aeroponic farm that grows organic produce for the Hawaiian Islands. Ron was educated and worked as Head Grower at the UC Berkeley field office for 4 years under the tutelage of Professor Dr. Paul Droll "Father of Modern Hydroponics".
