Senior Project Manger (2Ic To Project Director)Cpb Contractors May 2017 - Nov 2018Ballina, New South Wales- Pacific Hwy Upgrade - Woolgoolga to Ballina, sections 7, 8 & 9The original $360M scope included construction of new and reconstruction of existing Pacific Highway alignment with total length of 34km and spaning across 3 sections (s7, s8 & s9). The scope included bulk earthworks, drainage, services relocations (including main Telstra fibre optic service), 5 bridges, grade separation interchanges, foundation treatments, pavements, road furniture and revegetation. The work commenced in July 2017 and in December 2017 the Client RMS/Pacific Complete expanded the scope adding additional concrete pavements and drainage works with the contract value reaching $420 million. CPB’s package on W2B project – s7, 8 & 9 was the largest out of the total $4.3billion Pacific Upgrade Infrastructure program as is due for completion in 2020. Ron supported the Project Director and managed approximately 65 staff and a peak workforce of more than 400 workers across the 34km road alignment over a period of 19 months of the project. -
Senior Project Manager - Area 1, Cd9Cpb Contractors Sep 2016 - Apr 2017Melbourne, Victoria- Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing (CD9) - Area 1 (Caulfield to Hughesdale)CD9 project was one of the largest level crossing projects in Melbourne, Victoria (original value circa $1.0billion) and included 9 grade separations over busy arterial roads while maintaining rail traffic along the busy rail corridor.The project was split in two areas – Area 1 and Area 2 due to different methodology of construction. The more complex section was Area 1 which required a new elevated (sky rail type) viaducts to both inbound and outbound traffic with innovative precast sub and superstructures assembled adjacent to Murrumbeena Rail Station and transported along the corridor via innovative engineering methods.The scope included substantial PUP relocations and protections, work within narrow corridors (b/w operational electrified rail line and residential housing), CFA piling, precast piers and girders and new rail infrastructure. Site work commenced in June 2016 and in September 2017 Ron was assigned as a Senior Project Manager to the Area 1 portion of the work to provide management and leadership during a critical stage of the works. CPB and Lendlease were a JV partners for the Delivery of the overall CD9 project in Alliance arrangement with the Victorian Level Crossing Authority and key Stakeholders -Metro, V-Line, etcRon directly supported the Operations Manager for Area 1 and managed approximately 60 staff on site and a peak workforce of more than 350 workers (including a junior JV partner VSL) across the 6km rail alignment. -

Recognising the team’s outstanding performance, CPB Contractors was awarded the remainder of site civil preparation works in early 2013, including ground treatments, 1.55 million cubic metres of bulk earthworks, supply of quarry materials, 15km of site drainage, 12km of roads and pavements, hardstands and laydowns, geotechnical testing, in-ground fire main services, fencing and re-vegetation works. Later that year the team was awarded additional packages including warehouses work package, in-ground electrical services reticulation, road lighting works, and a Permanent Plant Building Work Package together with heavy duty concrete pavements, in-ground piping and lift stations.The overall project value at completion was $265M.Ron managed approximately 70 staff and a peak workforce of more than 360 workers to deliver the original contract works three months ahead of schedule, on budget and with outstanding quality results. -

Involving design and construction of a 6km of multi-lane high speed road, the scope featured nine bridges, including a double bridge with 15 spans, a new intersection with the adjoining Gateway Upgrade project, and conversion of the roundabout at Lomandra Drive interchange to a signalised intersection. It included four future drainage structures and twenty-two permanent water treatment basins, ground improvements/soil wick over 200,000m2, bulk earthworks, preloading and consolidation, import of 2.2 million cubic metres of fill, heavy duty asphalt pavements, inground services, road furniture and landscaping.Ron managed a team of approximately 70 staff and design consultants, and a peak workforce of 220 to deliver on time and budget, with no disruption to airport operations. -
